Nazca is a region in Peru known for the Nazca lines, figures drawn on the land which are so huge they can only be seen from the sky. The pre-IncanNazca culture made the drawings between the centuries 100 B.C and 800 A.C and they are one of the unsolved misteries of merican pre-hispanic cultures. The city of Nazca is the largest in the region, with around 30,000 inhabitants.

The distance between Puno and Nazca is of 846 km, and the trip by bus from Puno to Nazca takes around 24 hours. In order to make this trip by land you can divide it in two segments, first from Puno to Arequipa and then from Arequipa to Nazca.

Before boarding the bus you have to buy the “Tami” which is a special fee charged by the Terminal. The buses arive at the bus terminal of Arequipa, located on Arturo Ibañez street. From the same terminal you can take the bus that takes you to Nazca.

The distance between Nazca and Arequipa is 568 km. The trip by bus lasts around 10 hours. The buses leave from the bus terminal at 13:30 and at 21;00. The buses arrive at the bus terminal in Nazca.
