The distance between Puno and Uyuni is 760 km. Puno is a small city in Peru, and its greatest attraction is being the entry portal to the magestic lake Titicaca. Uyuni is, on its part, a town a few miles from the Uyuni Salt Flat, the greatest tourist attraction in Bolivia. In order to travel from Puno to Uyuni by bus, you must make the trip in two segments: first, from Puno to La Paz and then from La Paz to Uyuni. The bus leaves from the Bus Terminal of Puno between 6:45 and 07:00 am, crocess the border through Desaguadero and arrives in La Paz between 15:00 and 15:15, at the bus terminal of that city. The buses from La Paz to Uyuni leave between 20:30 and 22:00, and arrive in Uyuni early in the morning the next day. The total duration of the trip is around 20 hours, including the time you wait in La Paz and the border crossing.
