Puerto Quijarro is a small town at the border between Bolivia and Brazil and doesn’t offer many tourist attractions. However, the road from Santa Cruz to Puerto Quijarro takes you along beautiful sites and cities, such as Robore and San Jose de Chiquitos.
The main tourist attraction in the area are the Jesuit Missions of Chiquitos which are located in Santa Cruz department in eastern Bolivia. Six of these former missions collectively were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. The train and the bus stop in San Jose de Chiquitos where you can admire the beautiful Jesuit churches.
