TRAVEL OPTIONS FROM LIMA TO CUSCO

Direct trip: You can travel directly from Lima to Cuzco with Oltursa (lie-flat buses). Please note that there are two daily departures from two different locations where Oltursa operates: from the Terminal Terrestre Plaza Norte, located on Avenida Tupac Amaru at 12:45pm and from Estación Turística San Isidro, located on Avenida Aramburu at 2:30pm, and The journey takes between 22 and 24 hours.
Trip with stopover: The other option is to break the journey to Cuzco by stopping in Nazca, famous for the Nazca Lines and ancient civilization who designed them
Tourist bus: Get from Lima to Cusco by bus with Peru Hop in the safest way possible whilst discovering Peru along the way. SOME TOURISTIC INFORMATION THAT CAN BE OF INTEREST

Machu Picchu: One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu is one of the most visited destinations in South America. Tickets should be booked in advance as the entrance is limited to 2.500 visitors per day. You can take the train from Cusco but the four-day trek along the famous Inca Trail is another popular option.
Sacsayhuaman: This large fortress overlooking Cusco remains somewhat a mystery, it contains various temples and underground passages. Unfortunately only about 20% of the structure remains, but it is still worth a visit and easily accessible by foot, bus or taxi from the center of Cusco.

Accommodation: There are plenty of options in Cusco to choose from depending on your budget. The neighborhood of San Blas is a favorite for travelers who want to stay in a quiet but beautiful area. It is recommended to spend a couple of nights in Cusco to acclimatize to the altitude, especially if planning to do a trek.
