Villamontes to Yacuiba

Villamontes and Yacuiba are two of the most important cities in the department of Tarija, in the south of bolivia, a region famous for its vineyards, friendly people and warm climate. Yacuiba is important mainly because it is on the border with Argentina. The best and most comfortable way to make the trip between these cities is by train. The Tren Mixto travels from Villamontes to Yacuiba every Thursday at 05:00 in the morning, reaching Yacuiba three hours later, at 08:00 am. The trip has a cost of 20 Bs, (a little more than two dollars). The train from Villamontes to Yacuiba leaves from the station in Villamontes, located on Colon Avenue, and arrive at the Train Station in Yacuiba, located in front of the Sucre square.
