TRAVEL OPTIONS FROM CUSCO TO AREQUIPA

Walking Tour of the City: From the Plaza de Armas in the center of Arequipa, you can take a walking tour of the city with daily departures at 10:00am and 3:00pm. Tour is free but does not include tip.
Plaza de Armas: The Plaza is surrounded by classic colonial buildings making it part of UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage List. Cafes and restaurants are tucked away amongst the arches, perfect for an afternoon coffee.
Yanahuara: The Yanahuara view-point is one of the best places to have a good view of Arequipa. It is about a 30-minute walk from the center of town and gives you a lovely view of the city.
Alpaca World: Alpaca World is the place to go if you want to learn about this animal. Free entrance.
Santa Catalina Monastery: The beautiful Santa Catalina Monastery was built in the 16th century. Girls as young as 12 were sent here to be nuns by their families. And lived out the rest of their lives inside its walls.
Food: The food in Arequipa is some of the best in South America. You can find food from authentic Peruvian cuisine to burgers and locally brewed craft beers.
