TRAVEL OPTIONS FROM COCHABAMBA TO SANTA CRUZ

• Direct trip: You can travel directly from Santa Cruz to Cochabamba. The journey takes about 10 hours. Buses leave between 8:00am and 9:30pm. The bus company offering this service is: Trans Copacabana S.A. (lie-flat buses). Before boarding the bus there is small fee charged by the terminal that you must buy, called Uso de Terminal and which costs 2.5 Bs.

• Santa Cruz Cathedral: It is an ornate 400 year-old cathedral with panoramic views of Santa Cruz from the top of its clock tower. Inside the cathedral is the Museo de Arte Sacro featuring ancient gold and silver relics.
  
• Night life: Santa Cruz has a very vibrant night life, the city center has plenty of clubs and themed bars for party-goers.
  
• Parque Lomas de Arena: This protected park located a few hours from Santa Cruz features 3,000 hectares of soaring dunes perfect for sand boarding.

• Amboro National Park: This well preserved nature reserve boasts over 912 species of birds and over 177 mammalian species including the puma and the rare spectacled bear. It features beautiful walks, cascading waterfalls, dense vegetation, spectacular landscapes, fascinating archaeology and a great diversity of flora and fauna.
• Kaa-Iya National Park: Famous for its jaguar population, it is a must for anyone interested in observing mammals such as the giant armadillo, the endangered Chacoan peccary, pumas, ocelots and much more.
• Noel Kempff Mercado National Park: A UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses five ecosystems throughout its great expanse, ranging from dense, Amazonian rain forest to wet savanna and dry plateaus. 
• Jesuit Missions of Chiquitos: Founded in the 17th and 18th centuries, the Jesuit Missions have become a popular tourist destination, as six of the missions have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. 
  
• Samaipata: Samaipata is surrounded by stunning landscapes, stylish hangouts, mysterious pre-Incan ruins and peaceful nature walks.
  
• Food: Santa Cruz is a cosmopolitan city with high-end restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as more affordable options.
