TRAVEL OPTIONS FROM AREQUIPA TO TACNA

• Direct trip: You can travel directly from Tacna to Arequipa. Buses leave every day between 6:30 and 22:30 from the bus terminal in Arequipa located on Calle Arturo Ibañez. The buses arrive at the bus terminal Manuel A. Odria on Avenida Hipólito Unanue. The bus companies doing this route are Oltursa (semi lie-flat and lie-flat bus) and Moquegua Turismo (semi lie-flat and lie-flat bus).

SOME TOURISTIC INFORMATION THAT CAN BE OF INTEREST

• Paseo Cívico de Tacna: A beautiful walk between roundabouts and rose bushes, with an art space and various activities. The city Cathedral is located here.
• Complex Campo de la Alianza: Eight kilometers from the city of Tacna, this imposing complex and museum pays tribute to the heroes of the War of the Pacific. It is an ideal place to learn more about the history of Peru. You can also enjoy from there a nice view of the city.
• Tacna Cathedral: Construction began in the 19th century but it was inaugurated only in 1954. It is a beautiful construction with well-kept gardens.
• Boca del Río: One of the best beaches around Tacna. They are located about 50 km away from the city but they are worth visiting for the tranquility of the waters and the beauty of the place. There are restaurants and accommodation nearby.
• Miculla Petroglyphs: Located twenty-two kilometers from the city, these petroglyphs are from different historical periods and represent animals, magical rites and scenes of everyday life.
