Direct trip: You can travel directly from Arequipa to Ica with the company Cruz del Sur. Buses leave every day from 14:30 hrs. They arrive in Ica at 03:30 am the next day.
Trip with stopover: The other option is to travel with a stop at Nazca. Nazca is a region in Peru known for the Nazca lines, drawings on the earth so large that can only be seen from the sky. This route is also done by the company Cruz del Sur and the duration of the trip is approximately 12 hours.

Regional Museum Adolfo Bermúdez Jenkins: It has a collection of pieces from the cultures Paracas, Nazca, Huari, Ica and Inca, as well as canvas, colonial furniture and republican objects.
Cathedral: The original construction was made by the group Compañia de Jesus in the XVIII century and it was remodeled in 1984. There is no inside access due to the damages occured in the earthquake of 2007 in Peru.
Nazca Lines: From Ica you can go visit the famous geoglyphs. The visiting schedules are from Monday to Sunday from 6:00am to 5:00pm and it is subject to the weather conditions in the months of June, July and August.
Huacachina Lagoon: It is a true oasis in the middle of the desert that is surrounded by palm trees, huarangos and dunes. You can practice sandboarding and it is the preferred resting place of the locals.
