Traveling from La Paz to Cusco by bus takes about 15 hours, including stops and the border crossing. The route is 640 kilometers long. Direct buses from La Paz to Cusco leave from the main terminal on Avenida Peru at 7:30am or 4:30pm. You can go directly to Cusco via the Desaguadero, or to stop near Lake Titicaca, in either Copacabana or Puno. The bus arrives in Cusco at the main bus terminal on Avenida Luis Vallejo Santoni.
The bus trip from Puno to Cusco by bus takes around 7 hours and the distance between the two cities is about 386 km. The buses leave between 7:00 am and 8:15 am, and between 9:30pm and 10:30pm at night, from the bus station in Puno, located on Avenida Primero de Mayo. You can do this route during the day in a tourist bus with guide to learn about the history of the region and enjoy the scenery, or you can take a direct night bus.

One of the best is the Peruvian company Oltursa which provides a direct service between the two cities. The distance is 1,104 km and the bus trip from Lima to Cuzco takes 22 to 24 hours.
